In 1997, Simon started up as the sole operator of the business. He consulted, designed, assembled and installed wardrobes from a home office and workshop.
By 2003, Elizabeth had joined in and handled the admin and accounts side of the business, and started designing as well.

Nowadays, Simon oversees the overall management of the business and staff, and Elizabeth runs projects and marketing, as well as helping manage the business.

Matt Rule - Sales Manager
BDes (Ind)
Matt has been with us for over eight years now. His degree in Industrial Design and background in the kitchen and joinery industries make him an incredibly knowledgeable designer.
His friendly personality makes him a hit with clients & the design team. Matt is always up for a a creative challenge and doesn't mind getting on the tools for a change too.


Paula Stuart
DipDes (VCD)
Paula has been a part of the Stash family for more than three years and is a bubbly addition to our team. She has a Diploma in Visual Communication Design, and enjoys any task that is remotely creative. Paula has previously worked in many different areas of the design industry, including graphic design, interior design and her own computer graphics company.


Paul Van Niekerk
Paul joined the team at Stash over three years ago and has brought with him great knowledge and experience in the joinery and home furnishing industries, between positions both in New Zealand and South Africa. Paul has a great eye for detail, fabulous organisation & time management, & not a bad ear for office tunes too!


Chelsea Porter
Chelsea has been part of our team since June 2016, after  graduating from Victoria University with a Bachelor of Design Innovation. She has worked in the home and interior design industry for over five years, with experience in colour consultation and interior finishes. We often talk Chelsea into some great morning tea baking!





Kelsey Mackaness
BDes (VCD)
Kelsey has joined us to support the team with designs. She'll help ensure your plans and quotes are on time by taking care of sketches and plans. Having come from a sales & marketing after completing a design degree, Kelsey is also wonderful at handling our point of sale material and social media presence.




Shelby Kazimierzak
Shelby looks after all of our clients who do not require an on site visit, providing them with a design and quote based on discussions either in the showroom, or over the phone and email. Shelby has completed a diploma in interior design and comes to us with 18 months knowledge in kitchen cabinetry modules.


Heather McLeod
Heather is our accounts and administration manager and holder of the pointy stick! She ensures everything is in order and running smoothly, and that everyone on both sides of the fence is paid on time. Heather has been with us for over 5 years, and we have never been more organised! 




Scott Sherborne - Production Manager
Scott joined the workshop team here at Stash over 5 years ago, and has since taken up the role of production manager. Scott processes every order that comes through the workshop to ensure that everything is in order and production runs smoothly, and juggles the imagination of the designers with the capabilities of the workshop machines and production team. 

Jeremy Sargent - Installer/Assembly Foreman
Jeremy has been a part of our team for over three years and now holds the role of assembly foreman, ensuring that jobs are ready to leave the workshop on time. His background in kitchen joinery makes him a great asset to the team in both the workshop and on site.

Nathan Rudman - Production
Nathan joined the team  in Feb 2017 to run our CNC and Edge Banding machines, which is a busy 50 hour week. Nathan has experience in saw milling and wood work. The quality of your board starts with Nathan.

Branden Bartlett - Production
Branden joined the team mid-2017 to assist in the constructing of drawers and has already moved up to the assembly tables, proving his worth to our workshop team & will soon learn basic installations.

James Brundell - Production
Another family member here capably working in production. James has a good eye for quality and is here while awaiting his big break into the 'industrial design world'.

Stephen Garwood - Installer
Stephen was our very first employee here at Stash in 2006 and has now served twelve years here. He came on board to assist with production and installation. His background was 10 years in stairs joinery. It is wonderful to have had Stephen with us along the journey as we have grown.

Joe Scarratt - Installer
Welcoming Joe! Our newest installer who has moved here from the UK with his family to settle in Upper Hutt. Joe has an extensive joinery & cabinetry background and we are rapt to have found him.
